Leonard Cohen was an award-winning singer/songwriter from Quebec, Canada. He was also a poet and novelist. "Hallelujah" was on Cohen's 1984 album "Various Positions".

Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band released this song in 1973 but the 1976 "Live Bullet" version is my favorite! Its a song about rock 'n rolling road life. Metallica really kicked it up with their version in 1998! It was their longest streak (11 weeks) at the top of a Billboard chart.

Bob Dylan included "All Along the Watchtower" on his 1967 album "John Wesley Harding". He regularly includes this song at his concerts. I found it odd that Hendrix covered the song less than a year after Dylan first introduced it on the album.

Nine Inch Nails recorded "Hurt" for the 1994 album "The Downward Spiral" and received a Grammy nomination in 1996. Johnny Cash's version won a CMA, an MTV Video Music Award and a Grammy for a short form video. Superb!
