1. What was the name of the band in which Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo were called a "bunch of daft punk"?

Answer: Darlin'

Darlin' was created by Bangalter, Guy-Man and Laurent Brancowitz and they released a demo single called "Darlin'" and since they were terrible, a British journalist called them a "bunch of daft punk". Bangalter and Guy-Man liked that name, ended Darlin' and went on to make electronic music, while Laurent went on to create the band Phoenix.

Answer: Da Funk

Even though "The New Wave" was the first EP Daft Punk made, it wasn't succesfull. But the next year, "Da Funk" came out and was immediatly a huge success and launched Daft Punk into stardom.
