Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many drummers were used for this album?

Answer: Two

These were Dave Grohl and William Goldsmith. This is the first album released as a band, rather than by just Dave.
2. Who produced this album?

Answer: Gil Norton

Dave is the front man for the Foo Fighters, and the other two are names I made up.
3. Questions 3-9 are lyric based- I'll give you a lyric and you tell me the song. 'And this I promise you...'

Answer: See You

This is track 9 and the lyric finishes '...How could I end up in the hands of someone else'.
4. 'If you could manage me...'

Answer: New Way Home

This is track 13 and ends '...I'll try to manage you'.
5. 'Breathe out, so I can breathe you in.'

Answer: Everlong

'Everlong' is probably one of the Foo Fighters' most famous songs taken from this album, along with 'Monkey Wrench' and 'Hey, Johnny Park!'.
6. 'Your eyes still remind me of...'

Answer: 'Hey, Johnny Park!'

'...Angels that hover above'. This is an excellent song.
7. 'And I fall...'

Answer: February Stars

'...February stars, Floating in the dark, Temporary scars, February stars'.
8. 'Doll me up in my bad luck...'

Answer: Doll

'...I'll meet you there'.
9. 'Adolescent...'

Answer: Monkey Wrench

'...Resident'.
10. Questions 10-15 are also lyric based- this time I'll give you the song and you need to tell me the correct lyric! First of all, 'Up In Arms'.

Answer: 'It's true the two of us are back as one again'

In the CD sleeve the lyrics for 'Up In Arms' say 'My lonely heart falls apart again for you to mend'; but when Dave sings it, I'm positive he doesn't say 'Again'.
11. 'My Poor Brain'.

Answer: 'Real life is so hard'

Dave's singing isn't very clear in 'My Poor Brain'- there were a lot of lyrics that could be misinterpreted to chose from!
12. 'Enough Space'

Answer: 'Put her on the ceiling'

'Enough Space' consists of a very short verse and a chorus, all repeated twice, with some extra 'Space' being sung right at the end.
13. 'Wind Up'

Answer: 'I have the choice between the bat or the belt'

The 'Hate you' line is actually 'And I choke up'. The lyrics in this song are very good and most probably about Dave's fame. 'Spare me your questions since you know me so well, Someday you'll realise that I get shy and I choke up' - I interprate it to be about fans.
'Wind Up' is my favourtie song from the album.
14. 'Walking After You'

Answer: 'Weren't you adored'

This is track 12, and is a very mellow love song. The 'Heart is cracked' line is actually 'Another heart is cracked'.
15. 'My Hero'

Answer: 'Say it aloud'

Krist Novoselic (the bassist of Dave's former band, Nirvana) once said something along the lines of 'If I was to write a biography of Dave (Grohl), I'd probably call it "There goes my hero"'.
