Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One of the songs in the "Getting Away With Murder" album is called "Do Or Die". Which of the following lyrics belong to this song?

Answer: It's never too late to live your life

"Do Or Die" is about helping someone out when they are down because that person once helped you out when you were in the same situation. The band Papa Roach consists of Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance, and Dave Buckner, all very talented musicians!
2. Which powerful Papa Roach song contains these lyrics? "If you try to sell me the truth then I know you're a liar."

Answer: Tyranny of Normality

The members of Papa Roach hail from Northern California. The alternative-metal band formed in 1993 and is the mastermind behind such songs as "Tyranny of Normality".
3. Another great song by Papa Roach is "Done With You". Choose the correct missing word in this lyric: "I've got a bad _____ and a broken heart".

Answer: liver

It took Papa Roach a little while to become famous. Finally, in 1997, the band released its first full length album titled "Old Friends From Young Years". This album resulted in success on the local radio, which would later lead to more widespread fame.
4. "But when the sun goes down you are my only friend." The song with this lyric is one of the coolest in "Getting Away With Murder". Which song is it?

Answer: Be Free

"Be Free" is one of my favorites in this album; it is great fun to listen to! Papa Roach released their second album "Infest" in 2000. It further heightened Papa Roach's fame due to the success of the song "Last Resort". This was a major step to the top for Papa Roach!
5. What is the missing word in this lyric from "Stop Looking/Start Seeing"? "Put yourself in my _____, would you stand up for your rights?"

Answer: shoes

Papa Roach's next album was released in 2002 and given the interesting title of "lovehatetragedy". Just prior to this, lead singer Coby Dick decided to change his name back to his given name and became, as we all know and love him, Jacoby Shaddix.
6. "Blanket of Fear" is another one of my favorite Papa Roach songs. Choose the lyrics that are contained in this excellent song.

Answer: Hold on to your dreams

"Blanket of Fear" is a song with an absolutely spectacular sound! It's a rather strange song, talking about dreaming awake and all sorts of other things. One interpretation would be that the song is about all the weird, and sometimes unpleasant, things we can experience in dreams. All in all, it's still a great song!
7. Choose the correct missing word in this lyric from the awesome song "Not Listening". "No I'm not a ______, I've got something to prove."

Answer: failure

"Not Listening" is my all-time favorite Papa Roach song. It is awesome! The song sends the message to avoid the mainstream and to not follow the crowd. It reflects Papa Roach's personal view, as quoted by Jacoby Shaddix: "Our message to our fans is to shut yourself off from anyone who wants to run the show, and run it yourself".
8. One fantastic song in "Getting Away With Murder" is titled "Blood". Which of these lyrics belong to "Blood"?

Answer: I will forgive but I won't forget

To create "Getting Away With Murder", Papa Roach worked on 30 new songs with producer Howard Benson, who has also worked with P.O.D., Blindside, and Hoobastank. Of those 30 songs, 12 were chosen for the album "Getting Away With Murder", the entire object of this quiz!
9. The Papa Roach song with this lyric has been quite popular: "I can't help you fix yourself, but at least I can say I tried". What song is it?

Answer: Scars

"Scars" has been a rather popular song on the radio, comparable to Papa Roach's "Getting Away With Murder", the title song in this album. "Scars" is a song with a lot of heart, and it deals with the frustration of trying to help someone who won't help him/herself first.
10. And finally, given these lyrics, what is the song? If you get stuck, just remember the title of the album! "I feel irrational, so confrontational, to tell the truth I am getting away with murder. It is impossible to never tell the truth, but the reality is I'm getting away with murder."

Answer: Getting Away With Murder

"Getting Away With Murder" is the title song in this album and has been very popular. All factual information for this quiz was obtained from http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/papa_roach/bio.jhtml. I hope all you great Papa Roach fans out there enjoyed this quiz! Rock on!
