Answer: Jimmy Page

Page also formed the 1980s supergroup, the Firm. He was also ranked ninth in Rolling stones' list of greatest guitarists of all time. Many of his favorite guitars which he performed with were Gibson Les Paul, Gibson EDS-1275 or Fender Telecaster. Page was also known to have influenced several well-known guitarists, such as Joe Satriani, James Hetfield, Ace Frehley and Angus Young.
2. Which of these guitarists was in Cream?

Answer: Eric Clapton

Clapton was also in the short-lived supergroup, Blind Faith. He later formed Derek and the Dominos, as well as embarking on a hugely successful solo career. Clapton was known for using a wide variety of guitars throughout his career, most notably a Fender Telecaster, Fender Jazzmaster or Gibson ES-335.
3. Guitar genius Jeff Beck played in all these groups except which one?

Answer: The Doors

Beck played in the Yardbirds with fellow guitar greats Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. He also played on several other artists albums, including Mick Jagger, ZZ Top and Stevie Wonder. Beck's most notable guitars were Fender Jeff Beck Signature Model Stratocaster and Jeff Beck 1954 Les Paul Oxblood.

Blackmore played guitar with deep Purple in the late 1960s-early 70s. The band broke up in 1974 and re-united in 1984. He then formed Rainbow, performing with many greats such as Ronnie James Dio. Blackmore mainly played his Ritchie Blackmore Signature Stratocaster while performing.

Answer: Randy Rhoads

Sadly, 25 year old Rhoads was killed in a tragic plane crash in March, 1982. He was touring with Osbourne's band at the time. However, he has always been revered as one of the greatest guitarists of all time and was a great inspiration to several future guitarists. His most famous guitars included Jackson RR Signature Model and Gibson Les Paul Custom.

Answer: Steve Vai

In 1990. Vai released his comical video 'The Audience Is Listening'. Vai was known mostly to play Ibanez JEM and Ibanez Universe.

Answer: Eddie Van Halen

Eddie Van Halen performed with his brother Alex, a drummer. They eventually changed their name to van Halen and became one of the greatest rock bands of the 1980s. He had one guitar which he called 'Frankenstrat'. He was also known to play a Peavey Wolfgang and an Ibanez Destroyer.

Answer: Guns N' Roses

Slash (Saul Hudson) also formed many other bands, including Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. His favorite guitar was a Gibson Les Paul.

Hendrix formed the bands, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys. Sadly, Hendrix was found dead in his London apartment in September, 1970, of a drug overdose. He was 27 at the time. over the years, he became a great inspiration and influence to many musicians. His most notable guitar playing were done with a Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Flying V.
