Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where did the name "Gwar" come from?

Answer: Some drunk guy shouted it out during an early gig.

In the first "Gwar" movie, "Phallus in Wonderland", a protestor is carrying a sign that reads "Gay Women Against Rape", but this is not the origin of the band's name. Also, "God What an Awful Racket" is what VH1 incorrectly attributed the band's meaning to in it's "Where Are They Now?" segment on Gwar. G-War is just how my cousin always pronounces the name.
2. What is the name of Gwar's production company?

Answer: Slave Pit

The Slave Pit really exists and is an old sports compund in Richmond, Va. It is used as a studio, retreat, and costume modification/storage unit.
3. What album was Gwar's first?

Answer: Hell-O

"Hell-O" was released in 1988 by Metal Blade Records, and found Beefcake playing guitar, and Balsac playing bass!
4. How many side projects have been done by Gwar?

Answer: 3

X-Cops, Dave Brockie Experience, and Rawg. Although Deth Piggy included members of Gwar, it was not a side project, as Deth Piggy became Gwar.
5. Taking into account the side projects of Gwar, how many have actually released material?

Answer: 2

Rawg has never released any material directly, as it is just Gwar playing a show without their costumes and/or makeup, they also deny being Gwar.
6. What was the name of the original drummer?

Answer: Nippleus Erectus

Nippleus Erectus appeared in the booklet for "Scumdogs of the Universe", but Jizmak is on the cover art.
7. Slymenstra Hymen has sung on at least one song on every album besides "Hell-O"?

Answer: False

She has sang songs on "Carnival of Chaos", and "We Kill Everything", and "Ragnarok".
8. Which of the following is not a Gwar movie?

Answer: On Ice 2000

"On Ice 2000" is actually a wrestling commentary tape spoof tape made by a couple of friends of mine who are just huge Gwar fans, and Gwar music is used as entrance music for about 7 different characters.
9. Who is Dave Brockie?

Answer: Lead singer and founder of Gwar

Any of these answers could refer to a Dave Brockie, but the one I was talking about founded the band, come on, this was an easy one. It is a Gwar quiz after all.
10. Which of these Gwar videos has been seen on "Beavis and Butthead"?

Answer: Jack the World

While "Meat Sandwich" is another Gwar video, it was never on "Beavis and Butthead", "Interloper" is an X-Cops video, and "Wheel in the Sky" is a Journey song, and I'm not even sure if it had a video in the first place.
