Bam is a die hard HIM fan and first got into HIM when he flew over to Finland for a skate contest in 2000 and saw HIM's video on the TV he then bought "Razorblade Romance" and has loved them ever since. Ville Valo has even made a guest appearance in Viva la Bam! Bam has also made the video "Solitary Man" for HIM as well.

Lily Lazer(Guitarist's nickname) is a huge fan of the guitar legend Jimi Hendrix and John Lee Hooker, he also had a one off side project called Daniel Lioneye which they recorded while they were making "Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights" it featured Mige on bass, Lily Lazer on guitar and lead vocals, Ville Valo on drums and various members from The Skreppers and New Rose.

Orignally the band were called His Infernal Majesty because Ville Valo loved horror movies and people thought His Infernal Majesty to be a satanic moniker and so the band shortened it to HIM and the band liked it because it was easy to pronounce in every language. Later, they said that the initials didn't stand for anything.
