"The Chauffeur" was featured on Duran Duran's second album "Rio" 1982.
A live version was also recorded on "Arena" 1986. Unfortunately their
music was overshadowed by their looks, and video's. Simon Le Bon's
witty, and intelligent lyrics paved the way for the so called,
"Second British Invasion."

"Ashes To Ashes" from the album "Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)" 1980. David Bowie's recording career began in 1967 with his first and
very rare album titled, "David Bowie". In 1969 the single "Space Oddity" opened the doors to his alter-ego Ziggy Stardust, which brought him much success in the early 70s. For almost 40 years, David Bowie has continued to captivate listeners both young and old.

Answer: The Sugarcubes

"Birthday" from The Sugarcubes debut album "Life's Too Good" 1988.
With lead singer Bjork, and her impish vocal sound, Reykjavik's own
put Iceland on the musical map. In 1992 Bjork left the band, and had
a successful solo career.

"Love Will Tear Us Apart" from the album "Substance" 1988. Forming in
1976 under the name Warsaw, they changed their name to Joy Division in 1978. Suffering from epilepsy, lead singer Ian Curtis would often battle seizures on stage. With his health declining, and before their first U.S. tour he commited suicide in 1980. This song was released as a single after his death. The remaining members formed the band New Order.

Answer: The Clash

"Straight To Hell" was featured on their fifth album "Combat Rock" in
1982. The Clash formed in 1976, and were one of the original bands from the London punk rock movement of the late 70s. Led by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, they blended tones of Rockabilly, Reggae, Ska, and Dance.
The Clash called it quits in 1986. Talks of a reunion tour were dashed
when Joe Strummer died in 2002, of a heart defect at the age of 50.

Answer: Siouxsie & The Banshees

The Track "Peek-A-Boo" was featured on the album "Peepshow" 1988. Forming in 1976, Siouxsie And The Banshees original line-up included drummer John Simon Ritchie. Who later became Sid Vicious, of The Sex Pistols.
While still in the Banshees, Siouxsie formed a side project called The Creatures. The Banshees split up in 1996, and all attention focused on the Creatures. However as of July 2006, Siouxsie has gone solo.

Answer: The Jesus And Mary Chain

"Just Like Honey", from The Jesus And Mary Chains debut album "Psycho-candy" 1985. Known to play with their back towards the crowd, or sets lasting as long as ten minutes. In the early days they were compared to The Sex Pistols, for antics on stage and off. Each new record brought a more mature sound, and lush vocals without as much feedback. Eleven albums later, they called it quits in 1999.

Answer: Echo And The Bunnymen

"Bring On The Dancing Horses" was featured on Echo And The Bunnymen's
fifth album, "Songs To Learn And Sing" 1985. Echo formed in Liverpool
in 1978. They enjoyed moderate success on the UK Singles charts in the early 80s. Band in-fighting paved the way to their break-up in 1988. They later re-formed in 1994, and continue to tour and release new material.

The Track "The Ghost In You" was featured on The Psychedelic Furs
fourth album "Mirror Moves" in 1984. Originally calling themselves,
"RKO" then "The Radio". This London based band rode the coat tails
of the early punk scene in 1977. Their biggest sucsess was a song
called "Pretty In Pink", yes from the movie. Although they were
silent in the 90s, they started touring again in 2000.

Answer: The Cure

"All Cats Are Grey" from The Cure's third album, "Faith" 1981. The formation of The Cure can be traced back as far as 1972. Dozens of school bands, and line up changes throughout the early 70s, eventually EasyCure became The Cure in 1978. With a sound and style all their own, The Cure continues to re-invent themselves with each new album. Twelve studio, and many greatest hits records later, The Cure is still going strong.
