Answer: False

It was actually the first Mozart opera to be played in London.
3. How many roles were taking by castratos (a male that can sing as high as a female voice in natural voice) at the premiere? (in Vienna)

Answer: 1

Sesto was taken by a castrato; however, Annio (who is also a man) was taken by a woman.
4. When the curtain opens, Vitellia is persuading which character to lead a revolt against Tito?

Answer: Sesto

Vitellia is persuading Sesto, because she wants to be chosen as bride, but Berenice (who doesn't sing in the opera)is chosen instead. Sesto loves Vitellia and will do anything for her, as she persuades him to kill his best friend.

This is a tiny duet, where at the end they both ask for anything but love to be gone from life.
8. What is the home key of the opera?

Answer: C

C is the home key, like that of "Cosi fan Tutte" and "Die Entfuhrung"; E flat is the key of "Die Zauberflote"; and D is the key of "Le Nozze di Figaro".
9. Eventually, Tito picks Vitellia to be his bride, after Servilia has declared her love for Annio, and Tito has decided not to get in the way of such a love. But there is one problem- what is it?

Answer: Sesto has already started a revolt

Vitellia has made Sesto start the revolt again, after she heard the news that Servilia was picked as bride. (She thought that once Berenice had left, she would be picked as bride)

Answer: True

It doesn't contain any duets, but has three terzettos, two choruses, and a finale for all the characters and chorus.

Answer: Annio

Annio gets "Torna di Tito" and "Tu fosti tradito".

Answer: Basset Horn

Anton Stadler performed at the premiere, and the clarinet was Mozart's favourite instrument (the basset horn is a type of clarinet).

15. Which of these artists has not recorded Vitellia?

Answer: Barbara Bonney

Popp has recorded it under Harnoncourt, Varady under Eliot-Gardiner, and Jones under Hogwood.
