However we did find out later that Isaac crafted the whole thing and Ugly Casanova is really just a side project that he wanted to do. The debut CD was "Sharpen Your Teeth" recorded by Sub Pop records in 2002.

He is walking through the park after buying a 40 from the gas station on his break at work, and he sees a woman and her dog walking and trys to say hi and she brushes him off; he goes on to tell the story of how he found this dog in that park.

This is from the self titled EP that Modest Mouse did in 1997 with K records that quickly started being called "The Fruit that Ate Itself". So I guess they just went with that because when they released the Japanese version of that EP it was called "The Fruit that Ate Itself", But if you check the original release of the EP it is simply "Modest Mouse".
