The Supremes, formed in 1959, are said to be the world's most successful female group. Originally known as The Primettes, the early line-up was Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson and Barbara Martin. Baby Love, released in 1964, is probably their most popular track.
2. Which of these Motown artists was the lead singer with the Commodores?

Answer: Lionel Richie

The Commodores were formed in 1968. They chose their name at random out of a dictionary. The group's most notable hits include "Easy" and "Three Times a Lady".
Lead singer Lionel Richie released his first solo album in 1982.

Jimmy's brother, David Ruffin, was a member of the Temptations.
