The band was called Stereo when they first formed. Prior to starting the band, Jack Blades, Brad Gillis, and Kelly Keagy all played together in Rubicon. Keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald formerly played for Montrose, and Damn Yankees was Jack Blades' band following his departure from Night Ranger.
