The first album released by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, of Steely Dan, was "Can't Buy a Thrill" in 1972. "Can't Buy A Thrill" became a gold record and made it to #17 on the charts.

Answer: Bard College, Annandale, NY

They both went to Bard College at Annandale, in Hudson, New York. Fagen graduated in 1969, with an English degree, and Becker withdrew because he neglected to do any work. The two moved to Brooklyn, New York and sold their songs at the Brill Building in Manhattan.
