1. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...where did she go when I need her close to me; and the perfect story ended at the start..."

Answer: Love So Right

One of my 'first' favorites, "Love So Right", a beautiful, yet bittersweet ballad, hit # 3 on the Pop chart in December, 1976. The song is featured on the platinum "Children of the World" LP.
2. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...say my thought, should I find out she don't care at all..."

Answer: (Love Is) Thicker Than Water

The late Andy's second hit single, "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water" became his second consecutive # 1 Pop hit in March, 1978. Interestingly, the song replaced his brothers' hit, "Staying Alive", at # 1. Further, the following week, their song, "Night Fever", would replace Andy's hit in the # 1 spot! By the way, according to the "VH1 Rock Stars Encyclopedia", Eagles quitarist, Joe Walsh, played guitar on this song.
3. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...you can't touch her 'cause you know she's mine..."

Answer: Boogie Child

A very popular song on R&B radio in the mid-late 1970's, "Boogie Child" hit # 12 on the Pop chart in March, 1977. The song was featured on the "Bee Gees Gold, Vol. 1" LP.
4. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...if you don't come back running when you've had enough..."

Answer: I Love You Too Much

One of my 1980's favorites, "I Love You Too Much" was featured in the film and on the soundtrack, "Staying Alive": the sequel to "Saturday Night Fever". A beautiful, mid-tempo love song, it was featured in a scene in the film where John Travolta "Tony" and Finola Hughes "Laura" spend time together in Central Park.

6. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...Well, I'm ten feet tall, but I'm only three feet wide..."

Answer: Edge of the Universe

Another of my favorites, I prefer the live version of "Edge of the Universe", which was featured on the platinum LP, "Here at Last...BeeGees...Live". This single peaked at # 38 on the Pop chart in July, 1977.
7. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...all that I need is just one moment in your arms. I was chasing your affection; I was doing you no harm..."

Answer: Shadow Dancing

When "Shadow Dancing" hit # 1 on the Pop chart in June, 1978, it established the late Andy as the first artist to hit # 1 with his first three single releases. The song, which was written by all four Gibb brothers, remained in the top spot for seven weeks. The single was certified both gold and platinum.
8. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...when you told me, you didn't need me anymore. Well, you know I nearly broke down and cried..."

Answer: Oh, Darlin'

A solo hit for Robin, "Oh, Darlin'" hit # 15 on the Pop chart in October, 1978. The song, a Beatles tune, was performed in the film and featured on the soundtrack LP, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton starred in the film.
9. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...Oh, my child, you'll never know, just what you mean to me..."

Answer: Jive Talkin'

"Jive Talkin'", a gold single, was a # 1 smash in August, 1975. According to Casey Kasem, host of America's Top 20, brother Barry explained that when the brothers initially wrote the song, they really didn't have a clear understanding of what the expression, "jive talkin'", really meant.

As a result, their first set of lyrics weren't quite accurate. Then, someone told them what the phrase really meant. As a result, they re-wrote the lyrics.
10. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...I would wait forever for those lips of wine; build my world around you, darling..."

Answer: I Just Want to Be Your Everything

The late Andy's first single, "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" hit # 1 on the Pop chart in July, 1977, and it was certified gold. It was written and co-produced by brother, Barry.
11. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...well, now I get low and I get high; and if I can't get either, I really try..."

Answer: Staying Alive

"Staying Alive", the Bee Gees' second release from the phenomenal "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack, hit # 1 on the Pop chart in February, 1978. The platinum single knocked Player's song, "Baby Come Back" out of the # 1 spot. Ironically, "Baby Come Back" had knocked the Bee Gees' first "Saturday Night Fever" single, "How Deep Is Your Love", out of the top spot. "Staying Alive" won two Grammys at the "21st Annual Grammy Awards": one for "Best Arrangement for Voices", and one for "Best Producer of the Year".
12. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...here I lie, in a lost and lonely part of town..."

Answer: More Than A Woman

"More Than A Woman", written by the Bee Gees, had two versions on the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack: their version, and that of the group, Tavares. The Bee Gees encouraged Tavares to release their version, and the brothers withheld their own version to avoid competition. Tavares' version, which was released in May, 1978, hit # 32 on the Pop chart.
15. Name the song that the following lyric is from: "...and it's sure been a lonely time; right up to the time I met you..."
