Answer: Survivor

'Eye of the Tiger' is from the album of the same name by the rock band Survivor. It was released as a single in 1982, which was not a year of the Tiger, but of the Dog. Sylvester Stallone who played the main part in the movie 'Rocky III' requested the song because he was unable to get 'Another One Bites the Dust' from the British rock band Queen. 'Eye of the Tiger' is listed as number 21 on Billboard's All Time Top 100.

Answer: Al Stewart

In 1976, Al Stewart came out a year late with 'Year of the Cat' which was 1975. Nevertheless, his song was a huge success. The song itself was the fourth track on side 2 of the seventh album by Al Stewart. Alan Parsons played the sax solo on the theme track and produced the album.
3. Year five: Year of the Dragon. Who sang 'Puff the Magic Dragon'?

Answer: Peter, Paul and Mary

A year ahead of the Year of the Dragon (1964), recorded and released in 1963, 'Puff, the Magic Dragon' was written by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow, and was made famous by Peter, Paul and Mary in a 1963 single from their album 'Moving'. Answer: Alan Parsons Project

'Snake Eyes' was on the album 'The Turn Of A Friendly Card' by Alan Parsons Project, which came out in 1980, the year of the Monkey. Chris Rainbow sang the lead vocals. It's the prayer of a gambler to the dice:

"Snake eyes
Seven eleven
Don't let me down boys
Gimme
Snake eyes
Seven eleven
Don't let me down tonight
No don't let me down tonight"
5. Year seven: Year of the Horse. Who sang 'Wild Horses'?

Answer: The Rolling Stones

'Wild Horses' by The Rolling Stones was from their 1971 album 'Sticky Fingers' and released as a single, with the B side being 'Sway'. It was way off for the Year of the Horse, because 1971 was the Year of the Pig. The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. With The Stones' permission, The Burrito Brothers' version was the first to be released.

Answer: Pink Floyd

'Sheep' is a song by Pink Floyd, from the album 'Animals', It was recorded in April-May, July 1976, and released in 1977. It was originally titled 'Raving and Drooling'. Again the song was off-mark for the Horoscope because it came out in a year of the Snake.

You'd better watch out!
There may be dogs about
I looked over Jordan, and I've seen
Things are not what they seem."

Make the monkey blind
Cover me, darling please
Monkey, monkey, monkey
Don't you know you're going to shock the monkey."

Answer: Led Zeppelin

'Black Dog', by Led Zeppelin, the lead-off track of their fourth album, released in 1971 (year of the Pig), was also released as a single. 'Misty Mountain Hop' was on the B-side. The song's title refers to a black Labrador retriever that was around the Headley Grange studios during recording, and had nothing to do with the song lyrics:

"Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move,
Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove.
Ah, ah, child, way you shake that thing,
Gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting.
Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way,
Watch your honey drip, can't keep away."
10. Year twelve: Year of the Pig. Who sang 'Pigs on the Wing'?

Answer: Pink Floyd

'Pigs on the Wing' is a two-part song by Pink Floyd from their 1977 Year of the Snake) album 'Animals'. The first part of the song starts side one and the ending ends part two. The song was written by Roger Waters in honor of his then wife, Carolyn.

Part One:
"If you didn't care what happened to me,
And I didn't care for you,
We would zig zag our way through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain.
Wondering which of the buggers to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing."
