Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of Mika's first album?

Answer: Life in Cartoon Motion

Produced by Greg Wells and Mika, "Life in Cartoon Motion" was released in UK on February 5, 2007, and about six weeks later in the US. This album has had 3,430,325 sales worldwide! It had mixed reviews- the "Drowned in Sound" website only gave it a 1 out of 10. This instigated the virtuoso Brian May of Queen, a supporter of Mika's music, to publicly criticize it.
Oh, by the way, all the incorrect statements are true facts about Mika.
2. Finish the line from "Big Girl(You are Beautiful)": "No need to fantasize, Since I was in my braces, A watering hole with the girls around..."

Answer: "...with curves in all the right places!"

"Big Girl" reached number nine in the UK charts. It was featured for the show "Ugly Betty," and the lyrics were changed to "Betty, You Are Beautiful."
3. What song is the lyric, "So I tried a little Freddie, I've gone identity mad!!" from?

Answer: Grace Kelly

"Grace Kelly" was number one in the UK singles chart for five weeks and in five other countries! It is supposed to satirize musicians who sell out to become popular. Mika's voice has been said to be similar to Freddie Mercury's of Queen, an extremely high honor. They also share similar interests, such as a love for opera and creating visual art.
4. Fill in the blank: "While it was all going accordingly to plan, Then _______ _______ fell in love with another man."

Answer: Billy Brown

This is a song, obviously from these lyrics, about a homosexual affair.
Mika quotes, "If I was worried about sexual taboos I certainly wouldn't have made the record I made. It has nothing to do with that. It has more to do with self-respect."
5. In which song would you find the lyrics: "The last thing on my mind, is to leave you"?

Answer: Relax, Take It Easy

This song did not chart in UK, but made it to number one in the Polish Airplay Chart. After the release of "Grace Kelly", it entered the UK Downloads chart.
A part of this song's melody comes from Cutting Crew's "(I Just) Died in Your Arms."
6. In which Mika song does "It all unfurl, into broken remnants"?

Answer: Any Other World

At the end of this song, there is a woman saying, "I never ever, I forget my story. My face is no sad, but inside, I am sad."
"Angry" is supposedly the first song that Mika ever wrote, after listening to "Heart-Shaped Box" by Nirvana.
7. Which song contains this useful advice from Mama: "Live your life until love is found, 'cause love's gonna get you down"?

Answer: Lollipop

Mika has said in various interviews that "Lollipop" is his favorite song from his album. It was supposedly written for his sister. The child who sings part of this song is his sister's son. At three minutes and three seconds, it is the shortest song on the album.
8. Which of Mika's songs starts off with, "This is the way you left me, I'm not pretending"?

Answer: Happy Ending

Supposed to officially release in October 2007, there is a four minute and 35 second version and a 10 minutes and 21 second version. It is the closing song for "Life in Cartoon Motion."
9. The lyric, "'Cause I don't care if I ever talk to you again. This is not about emotion, I don't need a reason not to care what you say...," is from the third song in "Life in Cartoon Motion." Which song is this referring to?

Answer: My Interpretation

"My Interpretation" was co-written by Mika, Jodi Marr, and Richie Supa. Except for "Grace Kelly" and "Erase", all the other songs were written by Mika exclusively.
10. And finally, the line, "Carolina sits on ninety five, Give her a dollar and she'll make you smile," is from what song?

Answer: Love Today

Everybody's gonna love today, love today, love TODAY!
Reaching number six on the UK charts, this was Mika's fourth single. He sang this song on the third season of the American TV show "So You Think You Can Dance" in July 2007.
