Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. From what year is the comic book Andy is reading in "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race"? (Fall Out Boy)

Answer: 2006

In this video, we see a magazine cover saying that Fall Out Boy has signed with hip-hop producers. As they record, the people in the room make fun of them, but as the song goes on, they come to enjoy the music. Unfortunately, during a Joe's famous 360 spin, a man's glass bottle containing an achoholic drink is broken.

Another magazine cover appears, revealing that Fall Out Boy has ended its ties with hip-hop. After, we see Pete in photo shoot. The photographer grabs a cell phone and begins to photograph the bassist.

He instructs him to remove his clothing, with Pete looking quite confused. Yet another magazine appears, claiming that "Petey's unit" was exposed on the web. Three girls are then seen looking at the Pete's nude photos, which is a joke about the nude photos of Pete that REALLY were leaked onto the web.

Then, we see the boys getting out of a car to go to a fancy party, but not without Andy stuffing his pants! The final magazine cover is shown, which is of Andy making "a HUGE splash!" Inbetween these scenes, there is a wild party at a hotel, at which Pete gets flung out of a window.

At his funeral, Patrick sings while Seth Green and Michelle Trahctenburg cry, the girl from "Grand Theft Autumn/Where is Your Boy?" dances, Pete's "Dance, Dance" date kisses the guy with the antlers from "Sugar, We're Goin Down", William Beckett (the evil vampire from "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me"") sings along, the MTV Moonman Fall Out Boy won for "Dance, Dance" does hip-hop, and Joe performs a Guns 'N' Roses tribute on top of the coffin. Suddenly, Pete pops up out of the coffin, but then is seen sitting up in bed in 2003 while Andy reads a 2006 comic book. Andy asks if it was nightmares that awoke him, which is a reminder of the nightmares Pete had as a child. After realizing they are late for something, Patrick and Joe are woken up. They run out and then perform at a concert where everyone knows the song, although it is supossedly 2003. Pete then jumps into the audience, causing an actual injury!
2. In the second version (not the 'Grey's Anatomy' version) of The Fray's "How to Save a Life", what is number 99?

Answer: say goodbye

The Fray released two versions of this video. It shows a bunch of depressed children and teenagers who have lost a loved one somehow. There are numbers floating around that say how to deal with a death. "Love" is number 1, "talk to someone" is number 18, and "hold still" is number 8.

At the end, they all find a sense of happiness, just knowing that their beloved will always be in their hearts. It really tugs at your heartstrings!
3. How many women are in the kick-line in "But It's Better If You Do" (Panic! at the Disco)?

Answer: 5

In their 2nd video, which takes place in the 1920's, lead singer Brendon Urie is seen arguing with either his girlfriend or wife, who worries that he will go to "some illegal strip club". He assures her that he won't go, but breaks his promise. While singing, he sees a flirting women, who like everyone else there, is wearing a masquerade-style mask.

They go to a private room, where the woman kisses Brendon. He takes off his mask, and the woman angrily does the same, only to reveal that it's his girlfriend (or wife).

As this is happening, a few police are arriving at the joint to arrest the people inside. The girlfriend leaves the room and Brendon follows. She is then grabbed by the cops, and Brendon runs to save her. He is unsuccessful, so the two are shoved into a police car.
4. In Britney Spears's video for "Crazy", what color are Britney's glasses in the beginning?

Answer: light pink

In this video, Britney is first dressed up as a waitress. She walks to a room alongside where she takes off her glasses, then changes into a green outfit. Britney performs a long dance routine, while singing in front of a lit up red-orange sign. Melissa Joan Hart appears alongside the singer, for the song is featured in Melissa's movie, 'Drive Me Crazy'.
5. Which line(s) are/is the first to show that the person in the chair is lying in "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)" by Taking Back Sunday?

Answer: the third and fourth lines

In this music video, we see a person's hand attached to a lie detector. Suddenly, the bars that are drawing the pictures begin to go out of control, drawing various pictures that usually move. They include a spider, a web, a woman wearing a mask, a vault or safe, an airplane, a key, a handprint, lines, and last but not least, the band members.

At the end, it is revealed that the person taking the lie detector test has been the band's lead singer, Adam Lazzara, all along.
6. In "Stupid Girls" by P!nk, what two celebrities are spoofed during the car wash scene?

Answer: Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton

P!nk makes fun of Paris and her burger commercial, and Jessica too, for her video for "These Boots are Made for Walkin'". When the singer is going shopping, Mary-Kate Olsen is being spoofed for her "boho-chic" style. Paris Hilton was also made fun of during the sex tape scene and when the dog's cage said "Stays Younger Longer" (Miss Hilton got rid of Tinkerbell because she got too big).

When the red head is driving carlessly, P!nk is spoofing Lindsay Lohan and her driving accidents. There is also a point where P!nk is standing at a podium, giving a speech to obviously elect her as first female president.

In the beginning of the music video, there is a girl watching television as a devil and an angel appear next to her. The angel wants her to become a good role model while the devil wants her to become a "stupid girl".

In the end, the young girl chooses football over Barbie. P!nk says that the video is expressing the lack of role models today and how everyone just wants to attract others by their looks.
7. In "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" by Cobra Starship featuring The Sounds, The Academy Is..., and Gym Class Heroes, at what point in the song does Pete Wentz appear?

Answer: 1 minute and 45 seconds

Cobra Starship's first single got its name from the 2006 movie that it was featured in, 'Snakes on a Plane'. In the video, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy fame is seen nervously talking on the phone as the lead singers of the four bands pass. Samuel L. Jackson, the star of the movie, is seen at the 2 minutes and 16 seconds mark, eyeing the group cautiously.

The story of the video is that the four singers are walking through an airport like villians as they carry suitcases and guitar cases with snakes in them.

After getting through the baggage check by The Sounds's singer Maja Ivarsson distracting the man checking everything, the gang boards an airplane for South Pacific Airlines, Flight 121, the same as in the movie.
8. In Fall Out Boy's "Thnks fr th Mmrs" video, who calls Pete?

Answer: William Beckett

As the music video begins, we see Patrick questioning a producer before a video shoot, to which Pete reassures him that it'll boost their careers. As the shooting begins, a loud monkey screech is heard revealing that this so-called "visionary" is a monkey, as well as his aquaintences.

He's comments that they are a "joke" and they "should have gotten Panic! at the Disco." The monkeys continuesly critique the band members, including showing Andy how to play the drums and correcting Joe's spinning. In the dressing room, Pete puts on TAG Body Spray and monkey hands entangle him! At one point, Pete gets a phone call from William Beckett of the Academy Is... (this scene appears in their video for "We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands) while he gets his makeup done. Later, a woman comes in and as she goes to kiss him, Pete is yelled at for his inability to kiss a woman.

The monkey goes on to show Pete how, but he angrily stomps away. Pete is then seen packing his stuff, and then the woman comes in, kisses him passionately, all while the monkey watches mishieveously. During the next scene, the band performs, with the woman watching behind cameras.

The monkey strokes her hair and Pete gets jealous, smashing things and getting rid of the blinking B in FOB in the background. Pete says that the idea for this video came from how people are just crazy monkeys nowadays.
9. What words are sprayed onto the wall behind William when he gets out of the taxi in The Academy Is...'s "We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands"?

Answer: TAI and Santi

As William brushes his teeth in the morning, he looks in the mirror and his reflection punches him, knocking him out, and walks out of the mirror. His reflection walks around town causing mayhem, as William wakes up and tries to apologize, but is chased by cops.

His reflection then brings girls to the band's rehearsal, causing him to not be focused on the music. His band wonders what is wrong with "William", as the real one calls his friend Bob, who claims that the man on the phone isn't William, since he's "looking right at him," although the caller ID says William Beckett. William then resorts to calling Pete Wentz, who is getting his makeup done (this scene is also in Fall Out Boy's "Thnks fr th Mmrs"). William tells him that his reflection came out of the mirror, to which Pete causually replies "that always happens to me." William goes back home, sulking worriedly of what will become of his life.

He falls asleep and the next morning is informed that he's supposed to be upstate with the band.

He rushes of and goes backstage. He watches his reflection sing onstage, anger raging. He looks in the mirror to see no reflection, and his friend Bob appears again, looking confusedly back and forth at William and "William". The real William stomps on stage and begins to beat up his rival self, as people try to break up the fight. Then we see William on his knees on stage, sadly crying, for no one is there. This shows that his reflection has taken over his whole life. Poor William!
10. In "Say This Sooner" by The Almost, does Aaron ever become an invisible man?

Answer: Yes

In the begininng, Aaron picks up a silver object, which turns out to be a device used to transform him into different people. First, he becomes a hitch-hiking hobo. As he wanders, he looks at a reflection of himself and sees an older man staring back.

He looks around for the device, obviously creeped out, and reaches into a man's car to get it. Then, he is shown in a police outfit, standing in front of a hotel room with scraped hands and handcuffs on. A woman runs out of another room, screaming for a large man with a bat to get him. Aaron rushes away and enters a diner.

He catches another glimpse of himself in glass, and once again he is a elder man. He calls someone, but then finds the device, just in time to escape from being beaten. He is then transported into the middle of a desert, where a clone of himself opens a suitcase to reveal a mirror where there is no reflection. Finally, he gets ahold of the device and is transformed into himself again, in an empty. Aaron shakes it off and drops the device, basically vowing never to try to escape life and be someone you're not, as he did whenever he left another body.
