'Avalanche' can be found on the 'From Her to Eternity' album released in 1984. Nick Cave's first experience of singing was, as a child, singing in the Wangaratta Cathedral Choir in Australia.

A beautiful circus aerialist plays their song 'The Carny' in Wim Wenders' film 'Der Himmel Uber Berlin' (Wings of Desire), she later meets her angelic admirer at one of their concerts, where they perform 'From Her to Eternity'.

Cave's band became known as The Boys Next Door, in 1977 they started playing songs that Nick Cave had written as well as covers. Rowland Howard joined the band a year later.
