No one remembers exactly how Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold's friendship began. They met sometime in seventh or eighth grade at Ken Caryl Middle School.

Moving from one place to another wasn't easy for Eric who had to start from the bottom of the ladder and make new friends. However, when his father retired from the military, he took his family back to Colorado and settled in the town of Littleton in Jefferson County.

Brooks and Dylan have been friends since the first grade and were together in Cub Scouts. When Eric moved to Littleton, he lived near Brook's house and rode together on the same bus and became good friends along with Dylan.

Eric wanted to join the Marines but his application was rejected shortly before the shooting due that he was taking Luvox as part of his anger management therapy. Some believed that the drug's side affects contributed to what happened at Columbine but Eric's friends theorized that he stopped taking it. Autopsy reports showed that he had low therapeutic levels of Luvox in his system at the time of his death.

"Hitmen for Hire" was a video made for an economic class project where students had to create a business. Eric and Dylan were portrayed as two hitmen dressed in black trenchcoats and sunglasses ready to help students who were victims of bullies.

Robyn was a close friend of the two boys; she was the one who purchased a rifle and two shotguns for them because she was eighteen years old at the time. She didn't know what were Eric and Dylan's intentions and neither suspected that they'd use these weapons at the Columbine High School massacre. No charges were pressed against her. Phillip Duran and Mark Manes their co-workers at Blackjack Pizza also supplied them with guns.

They placed bombs in their cars and put others in duffel bags inside the cafeteria knowing that it's easy to kill and injure many students as much as possible in addition to shooting the survivors. Ironically, two years later, the attacks of 9/11 occurred on what would have been Dylan's 20th birthday if he had been alive.

At 11:19 a.m., a witness heard Eric Harris yell, "Go! Go!" At that moment the gunmen pulled out their shotguns and began shooting at Rachel Scott and Richard Castaldo, who were sitting on a grassy knoll to their left, eating lunch. Both were hit and critically injured.

After the initial shots, one of the shooters shot Scott again, killing her. It is unclear who shot first and who killed Scott.

Before entering the library, Eric and Dylan threw two pipe bombs into the cafeteria from the staircase in the South Hallway, both of which exploded. They then threw another in the Library Hallway, which also exploded, damaging some lockers.
