Terence Steven McQueen was born in Beech Grove, Indiana in 1930. His biographies paint a picture of periodic childhood abuse and rebellion that eventually landed him in a California boys' home. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1947 and was honorably discharged in 1950. Steve was an avid motorcycle racing enthusiast.

He had an acting career that spanned over four decades. Some of his most famous films are "Bullitt", "The Getaway" and "The Magnificent Seven". Steve died of cancer at the age of 50.
