Lincoln served as postmaster in the village of New Salem, Illinois for three years, starting in 1833.
2. What was one of Jerry Springer's occupations before becoming a talk show host?

Answer: He was the mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio

Despite the fact that Jerry was forced to leave the city council (as a councillor) after it was discovered he had hired a prostitute, he was later reelected and served as mayor in 1977 for one year.
3. Walt Disney was responsible for ground-breaking animation, but what else did he do as a younger man?

Answer: He drove an ambulance for the Red Cross

Toward the end of WW1, Disney tried to join the army but was turned down because he was too young. He then joined the Red Cross and was sent overseas where he drove an ambulance. His ambulance was not painted with camouflage, but rather was covered with cartoons and drawings.
