Answer: The Cult

Ian Astbury was born on 14th May 1962 in Heswall, Wirral. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the band The Cult. The Cult have been active since 1982 and are best known for their single "She Sells Sanctuary" which was released in 1985.

Answer: John Peel

John Peel was famous as a disc jockey, journalist, record producer and radio presenter. He was born in Heswall Cottage Hospital in 1939. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack in 2004 and is still sadly missed by his fans.

Answer: Lewis Collins

Lewis Collins was born on 27th May 1946 and died of cancer in Los Angeles in 2013. He appeared in many TV dramas before his big break in "The Professionals" where he played William Bodie. He auditioned for the role of James Bond but was rejected by the producer, Cubby Broccoli. His most famous film role is probably that of SAS officer Peter Skellen in the film "Who Dares Wins".

Patricia Routledge was born in Tranmere, Birkenhead in 1929. She made her professional acting debut at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1952. She has appeared in many TV dramas over the years. As well as her role as Hyacinth Bucket she also appeared in the long running drama "Hetty Wainthrope Investigates" with Dominic Monaghan who later found fame in "The Lord of the Ring" franchise.

Chris Boardman was born in Hoylake, Wirral on 26th August 1968. He as on the national cycling team by the time he was 16. He retired after the 2000 Olympics at the age of 32. He lives on the Wirral with his wife and six children.

Daniel Craig was born in Chester on 2nd March 1968 but was raised on the Wirral Peninsula where he attended primary school in Hoylake and Hilbre High School in West Kirby. Before appearing as James Bond he had parts in many films including "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". In 2011 he married actress Rachel Weisz.

Shirley Hughes was born in West Kirby on the Wirral. Her father was the owner of the Liverpool department TJ Hughes. She studied at the Liverpool School of Art and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Arts in Oxford. She is famous for the "Alfie" series of books which centre on the family life of of a young boy called Alfie.

In 1984 she won the Eleanor Farjeon Award for her service to children's literature.

Paul Hollywood was born in Wallasey in 1966 and attended The Mosslands School. His father was a baker and he left a course in sculpture at Wallasey School of Art to train under his father. He has been a judge on "The Great British Bake Off" since it was launched in 2010 along with his fellow judge Mary Berry.

Glenda Jackson was born on 9th May 1936 and attended West Kirby County Grammar School for Girls. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She is probably most famous for her role in Ken Russell's film "Women in Love" which was released in 1969. She retired from acting in order to stand for election in 1992 General Election.

Paul O'Grady was born 14th June 1955 at St Catherine's Hospital in Tranmere, Birkenhead. He began work in the Civil Service working as a clerical assistant in the DHSS. He made his breakthrough in television appearing in "The Bill" as a transvestite prostitute informer. Since September 2013 he has appeared in the documentary series "Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs" which centres on Battersea Dogs Home for Cats and Dogs.
