Ricardo Flores Magon (1873-1922) was one of the three famous Flores Magon brothers. All of them were journalists, politicians, and anarchists, and fought against the government of Porfirio Diaz, who was in power for more than 30 years in Mexico. Jesus, Ricardo and Enrique Flores Magon were all jailed for what they published against Diaz in their newspaper "Regeneracion", and eventually kicked out of the country.

Ricardo Flores Magon was quite prolific in several fields, since he wrote for more than five newspapers, as well as a play titled "Tierra y Libertad" (Land and Freedom). He is considered as one of the forefathers of the Mexican Revolution.

He became rector of the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) in 1920, and in 1921 he was the first person to have power in the newly-created Secretariat of Public Education.

Vasconcelos dedicated his life to education, but shone in many other areas. He even was a presidential candidate once! Vasconcelos' philosophy style is often regarded as eclectic, based on works like "Indiologia" and "Todologia".

Caso thought that one of Mexico's biggest problems was a lack of unity of any kind.

Gomez Morin founded the National Action Party, a humanist party with a right wing political tendency.
