Answer: August 8, 1969 and August 9, 1969

The murders were committed sometime during the night on both August 8th and 9th, but the most common dates for the murders to have occurred are August 9, 1969, and August 10, 1969. The bodies were discovered the next day, which is where the 9th and 10th come into play.
2. Who planned the murders?

Answer: Charles Manson

Although he supposedly never participated in the murders, Charles Manson is the one who is associated with them the most because it was his followers that committed these horrific crimes.
Ronald DeFeo is the perpetrator of the DeFeo murders, which led to the Amityville Horror.
Ed Gein was a murderer in Wisconsin who inspired such works as Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Gary Ridgeway was the Green River Killer.

Answer: Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski, Jay Sebring, and Steven Parent

Sharon Tate was an actress most well known for her work in "Don't Make Waves", "Valley of the Dolls", and "The Fearless Vampire Killers". Jay Sebring was her ex-fiance, and a stylist to the stars. Abigail Folger was a social worker, and the heiress to the Folgers' coffee fortune. Voytek Frykowski was a childhood friend of Roman Polanski (Sharon Tate's husband), and the lover of Abigail Folger. Steven Parent was tragically just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
4. What were the names of the victims on August 10, 1969?

Answer: Leno LaBianca and Rosemary LaBianca

Leno LaBianca owned a market in Los Feliz, and Rosemary owned a dress boutique. They were stabbed to death in their home in Los Feliz, and both were mutilated. Leno was discovered to have had "WAR" carved into his torso, and Rosemary was found with stab wounds all over her body.
5. What did Charles "Tex" Watson say to Voytek Frykowski when asked who he was?

Answer: "I am the devil, and I am here to do the devil's work."

Voytek was sleeping on the couch in the living room, and awoke to find Tex standing in front of him. Voytek asked who the intruder was, and Tex replied with "I am the devil, and I am here to do the devil's work."

After all the victims were dead, Susan Atkins got a towel, dipped it in Sharon's blood, and wrote "Pig" on the door.

Linda Kasabian was present on the night of the LaBianca murders, but was not present the night before. She was interviewed on the stand by Vincent Bugliosi to help him make his case against Charles Manson and others.

Answer: Trent Reznor

Trent Reznor rented the house in the early 1990s, before it was torn down. He recorded the album "The Downward Spiral" in the guest house, and he helped Marilyn Manson with one of his very first records, "Portrait of an American Family".
