Walter Brennan (1894-1974) was an American actor and singer. He won three Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (1936, 1938 and 1940). He appeared in numerous films and television series in a career spanning 1924-1974. He is fondly remembered for his role as Amos McCoy in the U.S. situation television comedy "The Real McCoys" (1957-1963).
