Answer: Naamah

The correct answer is Namaah. Not much is known about her, however, as she is mentioned in passing reference. She is described as an Ammonitess in 1 Kings 14:21 and 2 Chronicles 12:13 and Christiananswers.net reports she was the daughter of the king of Ammon. The same Web site reports Namaah means 'the beautiful'.

There is a second woman known as Namaah in Scripture. The other woman was the daughter of Lamech and Zillah, as per Genesis 4:22.

Answer: Rehoboam

Rehoboam is the only child of Solomon who is named in Scripture. Even though he 700 wives, princesses and 300 concubines, there is no mention of his fathering any other children.

Rehoboam would go on to become king, but unlike his father, his reign was marked by failure and troubles. Rehoboam had the mistaken belief that if he came down with a heavy fist his subjects would become more loyal to him. To the contrary, they rebelled and the northern ten tribes broke away, leaving Rheoboam as king of only Judah.

Scripture reports he ignored the advice of his father's advisers and followed the advice of young men he had grown up with, as per 1 Kings 12. And from there things got worse. According to 1 Kings 14:21, Rehoboam was 41 years old when he became king and he reigned for 17 turbulent years. He was succeeded by his son Abijah.

Answer: Sarah

The correct answer is Sarah. Sarah, of course, was the wife of Abraham and they had one son, Isaac.

Many theologians believe she is the only woman to have her age given in the entire Christian Bible, as well. However, some people dispute this, saying Anna's age is given in the New Testament.

Here's what Luke 2:36-38 says about Anna: "Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem."

Some people interpret the verse to mean Anna was 84 years old. Some people, however, agree the verse simply states Anna had been a widow for 84 years and as a result there is no way of knowing her age.

Answer: Anna

The correct answer is Anna.

As stated in the answer to Question 3, there is some debate about whether or not Anna's age is actually given in Scripture. However, when it comes to names that are a palindrome, there can be no mistaking the fact she is the only person in the New Testament who has a name that is the same when it is spelled backwards.

According to Luke 2:38, after Anna saw the infant Jesus "she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem."

(Yes, I know there is also the name Abba, as in Abba Father, in the New Testament. However, the name does not pertain to a person.)

Answer: Abigail

Abigail is the correct answer. It's hard to believe, but Abigail is the only woman in the Hebrew Bible and the English Bible described as both beautiful and intelligent. A number of other women are described as beautiful. They are Sarah, Rachel, Bathsheba, Esther and Job's three daughters -- Jemimah, Keziah and Keren-Happuch. And there appears to be no doubt there are a number of other women in the Bible who were intelligent, with some of them being Esther, Bathsheba, Lydia and Priscilla. However, Abigail is the only one to have the double distinction in the text.

Answer: Tahpenes

The correct answer is Tahpenes. She is mentioned in 1 Kings 11:19-20.

Scripture states the sister of Tahpenes was given in marriage to Hadad, an adversary of King Solomon. According to 1 Kings 11:14-17, Hadad was a descendent of the king of Edom and he had gone to Egypt as a child to escape the Israelites, who had instructions from Joab to kill every male in the area.

1 Kings 11:19-20 in the NKJV states: "And Hadad found great favor in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him as wife the sister of his own wife, that is, the sister of Queen Tahpenes. Then the sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house. And Genubath was in Pharaoh's household among the sons of Pharaoh."

This is the only mention of Tahpenes in Scripture.

Answer: Publius

The correct answer is Publius. According to Acts 28:7, he was the chief official of Malta, who welcomed Paul and his group into his home after they were shipwrecked and entertained them hospitably. According to Acts 28:8, the chief official's father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Scripture states Paul went to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.

This is the only time Malta is mentioned in Scripture and Publius is the only person on the island who is identified by name.

Answer: Straight Street

The correct answer is Straight Street. According to Acts 9:11, it was at the house of Judas on Straight Street in Damascus where Saul, who would later become known as Paul, would take refuge after his dramatic encounter with Jesus Christ.

According to the ninth chapter of Acts, Ananias was sent by the Lord to go to Paul to prepare him for his divine assignment as the apostle to the Gentiles.

This is the only mention of a street with a proper name in Scripture. To be as precise as possible, Jeremiah 37:21 makes reference to a 'bakers' street' but it does not appear to be a proper name. The passage in question, from the NKJV, states: "Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah to the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread from the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison."

Answer: Jesus raised a widow's son from the dead.

Jesus raised a widow's son from the dead. Incidentally, this is the only place in the entire Bible where Nain is mentioned. Luke 7:11-15, in the NKJV Bible, reports: "Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her.

When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, 'Do not weep.' Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, 'Young man, I say to you, arise.' So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother." According to the Thompson Chain-Reference Study Bible, Nain is about ten miles south of Nazareth.

Answer: James

James, the brother of John and the son of Zebedee, is the correct answer. According to Acts 12:1-2, he was put to death by the sword. Scripture states King Herod, a vicious adversary of the early church, ordered the execution. James was a fisherman before becoming one of the original Twelve Disciples of Christ. Notes in the NIV Study Bible state being 'put to death by the sword' meant to be beheaded.
