7. Which sin, also known as Wrath, is symbolized by the bear and color red?

Answer: Anger

8. Getting thrown in snake pits is the punishment for which sin?

Answer: Sloth

Sloth is the sin in which people avoid physical or spiritual work.
9. Who was the author of "The Divine Comedy", a chapter clarifying the seven deadly sins?

Answer: Dante Alighieri

Dante was an Italian layman from the 13th century. He considered these actions offenses against love. He divided this novel into three chapters and ranked the sins accordingly.
10. And finally, according to Roman Catholic doctrine, everybody alive today is guilty of least one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Answer: True

Unfortunately, there's no denying it. As this quiz has demonstrated, the seven vices listed in this group are not necessarily major (e.g., mortal) sins; their designation as deadly is because of the way they can lead on to more serious actions. And who hasn't lost their temper (wrath), or decided that going to the gym today is just too hard (sloth), or taken that second helping of dessert (gluttony)?

Mary, the Blessed Mother, was the only mortal free from sin according to Roman Catholic doctrine.
