Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where can you find the verse: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord" (KJV)?

Answer: Romans 6:23

Romans 3:23 is another favorite verse. It says "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." This verse reminds me that I am a sinner. Romans 6:23 reminds me of the penalty I should get for my sins, but the way out of that penalty is through Jesus Christ. Paul was saying this to the Romans to remind them that they were sinners, not one of them was perfect.
2. Where can you find this well known verse: "For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life"(KJV)?

Answer: John 3:16

This verse is filled with hope. Jesus said that as long as the people believed in Him they can go to Heaven. This is what is believed by most Christians today as the way to Heaven.
3. Where would you find this verse: "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain"(KJV)?

Answer: Philippians 1:21

This was written by Paul to the Philippians while he was in prison. The reason he said to live is Christ was because if he lived he could continue to spread the Gospel. However if he died, he would gain because then he would spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus. So to Paul, either way he came out a winner.
4. Where in the Bible would you find the verse in the KJV, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me"?

Answer: Philippians 4:13

Paul, again, wrote this verse to the Philippians. He was telling them that while on his own he couldn't do it all, but through Jesus Christ, he could do anything the Lord asked him to do.
5. Where would you find this verse in the King James Version, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"?

Answer: John 14:2

This verse has Jesus explaining one of the reasons He must return to Heaven. He is preparing a place for all those who believe. Later in John 16:7, He tells them that if He goes He will send the Holy Spirit to comfort them.
6. Where is this verse found, "And now abideth faith, hope and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

Answer: I Corinthians 13:13

In many translations of the Bible the word love is used in place of charity. The 13th chapter of I Corinthians is often called the love chapter. It explains what love is and how it can be shown.
7. In the King James Version, where would one find this verse, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Answer: Romans 8:28

Paul wrote to the Romans to let them know that even when things go wrong God can use them. God can use anything in their lives no matter how good or bad it is to keep them on the plan He has for them to glorify Him.
8. Where does this verse come from in the King James Version, "But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine"?

Answer: Isaiah 43:1

This verse is a reminder to Christians, and Jewish people as well since it was written by Isaiah, that they belong to God. He will always be there for His people, like a father would be for a child.
9. "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest", is found in which verse (KJV)?

Answer: Joshua 1:9

With God on Joshua's side, he had no reason to fear anything. This verse tells believers that they also can be strong in the Lord at all times because they know He is their Protector.
10. Where can this verse be found, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (KJV)?

Answer: Romans 5:8

Paul reminded the Romans how much God loved them. Even while they were sinners and deserved to die, God sent His only Son to be crucified, to die for their sins. Christians believe, all you have to do is accept that gift of Salvation and you will be spared eternal life in Hell.
