Pentecost comes fifty days after Easter. Because it was time for the celebration of the first fruits to be harvested, a celebration was held. Pentecost is a holiday in Christianity and in Judaism, but in the latter it is often called Shavuot.
2. According to the Book of Acts, how many days after Jesus ascended into Heaven did the disciples celebrate Pentecost?

Answer: Ten

The disciples were accompanied by Jesus' mother Mary and the other members of His family as they traveled to celebrate the Pentecostal feast. 3. While everyone was gathered together in a room celebrating the feast, what sound was heard all around them, as described in Acts?

4. How does the Bible describe what happened to the disciples when the Holy Spirit entered them?

Answer: They could speak in different languages

Acts 2:2-13 states that the wind that rushed into the room where they were eating and worshiping was the Holy Spirit. After the Holy Spirit entered the disciples, the twelve men went out to preach the gospel to the people in all the different languages that the people spoke in the city.
5. Acts describes which one of Jesus' disciples taking the opportunity to stand up and speak to the crowd of people?

Answer: Peter

While the disciples preached the gospel in Acts 2:14, some people thought the disciples were drunk. After hearing this, Peter stood up and exclaimed that it was too early to be drunk and began telling the group about Jesus' death on the cross, his resurrection, and his ascension into Heaven.
6. When Peter was speaking to the crowd, what does the Book of Acts state he said would happen to the old men in the city?

Answer: Dream

Peter repeated the words that the prophet Joel had said in Joel 2 when he said that the sons and daughters would prophecy, the men would see visions, and the old men would dream dreams.

9. According to Peter in Acts 2, what did God tell David would happen to his enemies?

Answer: They would become the Lord's footstools

As Peter preached to the people, they questioned what they should do. Peter told them that the Lord (Jesus) spoke to David and said the Lord would sit on the right hand of God. God also promised his enemies would one day be a footstool for the Lord's feet. The scripture can be found in Acts 2:34-35 and Psalm 110:1
