Answer: Two-all

Australia won the first(Lord's) and third (Lord's) with England winning the second (Sheffield) and fifth (Manchester) with the fourth (Lord's) drawn.
2. In the first Test at Lord's, who was the only century maker?

Answer: K. R. Miller (AUS)

Keith Miller scored 105 in Australia's first innings. Robertson top scored for England with 84 in their second innings. Miller also scored 118 in the fourth Test being the only player to score two centuries in the series.
3. In the second Test, who was the only Englishman to score a century?

Answer: Walter Hammond

Walter Hammond scored 100 in England's first innings. Hutton made 104 in the third Test with Washbrook making 112 in the fourth Test. Edrich's top score was 58 in the third Test.
4. R.G. Williams (AUS) was a POW for four years and was cheered by the crowd all the way to the crease when he came out to bat in the first Test. What was he known for as a POW?

Cecil(Ces) Pepper was an all-rounder and was the first to complete the double twice in the Central Lancashire League. When he retired as a player he was a county cricket umpire from 1964-1980. Stan Sismey was the Australian wicket-keeper for the series and Laurie Fishlock was the opening batsman for England in the fourth and fifth Tests.

Dick Pollard took 25 wickets for the series in four Tests. He played for Lancashire from 1933-1950 and took 1,112 wickets in 298 First-class matches. Pope took 15 wickets, Pepper 20, and Cristofani 14.
9. Who was the batsman that played in all five Tests but bowled only one ball for the series?

Answer: Lindsay Hassett (AUS)

Lindsay Hassett as the Australian captain decided to bowl the last ball of the fifth Test when England only needed one run to win with six wickets still remaining. Washbrook did not bowl at all, Len Hutton bowled two overs in the second Test and Stan Sismey was the Australian wicket-keeper in the five tests but did not bowl. Hassett was the only Australian in the five Tests who had previously played Test cricket.
10. Who scored the most runs during the series?

Answer: Keith Miller (AUS)

Miller scored 514 runs (including two centuries), Hutton 380, Hammond 369 and Pepper 417.
