Played an integral role in the play that coined the term "Hail Mary"
pass. With 52 seconds left in a 1975 playoff game against the Vikings, Roger Staubach threw a bomb to Drew Pearson. After pushing off Nate Wright who was defending him, Pearson caught the pass and sealed the victory for the Dallas Cowboys. The officials did not throw a flag for offensive interference, although many a Viking fan have gone to his or her grave insisting it was in fact offensive interference.

to the Giants in the late 60's.
