After the kickoff, Georgia Tech got into field goal position, and Harrison Butker hit a career-long 53-yard field goal to force overtime. Georgia Tech scored first, but missed the extra point. On Georgia's possession, DJ White picked off Hutson Mason to seal the 30-24 win.

In the waning minutes of the game, Penn State was down 23-24. They marched down the field to set up the field goal. It was a 36-yard field goal, and was kicked by Sam Ficken as the clock hit zero. Penn State won 26-24. The game was James Franklin's debut as the head coach of the Nittany Lions.

That's offensive pass interference. Notre Dame was moved back 15 yards, but could not get in the end zone. Florida State got the win.
