The Seahawks were an expansion team in 1976, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Answer: The Nordstrom family

The Nordstrom family owned the team until 1988. Lloyd Nordstrom was the family representative that signed the franchise agreement with the league. He died prior to the first game.

Answer: Public naming contest

Seahawks was chosen as the team name after more than 20,000 entries were submitted in a public naming contest.
4. Where did the Seahawks first call home?

Answer: The Kingdome

Until 1999, the Seahawks called The Kingdome home. They did play the first half of the 1994 season at Husky Stadium while repairs were being made to the Kingdome, and then again 2000-2001 until Seattle Stadium, which became known as Qwest Field, was ready.

He finished with a 35-59 regular season record. Patera had the team from their beginning until 1982, when Mike McCormack replaced him.

Alexander was a first round pick for the Seahawks out of Alabama in 2000. He was a running back and was voted the 2005 NFL MVP. He led the NFL with 28 rushing/receiving touchdowns, 1880 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns and 168 points scored in 2005.
