Nadia fled Romania with the help of Constantin Panait who is rumored to have abused Nadia. She then was able to escape and go to Canada in 1990 where she live with Romanian rugby coach Alexandru Stefu and his wife. Nadia joined some gymnastic exhibitions where she met Bart Conner for the second time.

The first time she met him was in 1976 at the American Cup competition. They both won the all-around gold medal in that competition, and had to kiss for a picture. Stefu died in a freak drowning accident and Nadia moved in with Bart and they fell in love.

Bela is one of the most accomplished gymnastic's coaches. He was the head coach of the women's silver medal winning Romanian gymnastics team which included Nadia Comaneci, the first gymnast to score a perfect 10.0 in Olympic gymnastic history. Among many other accomplished teams and gymnasts, he also coached the United States women's gold medal winning team at the 1996 Olympic games.

The uneven bars are actually an event for the women! The men have 6 events to compete in, where the women only have four. The men's events include: pommel horse, still rings, floor exercise, parallel bars, high bar and vault. The women's events are: floor exercise, vault, balance beam, and uneven bars!

Shannon Miller received two silver and three bronze medals at the 1992 Olympics. She was then the 1992 and 1993 World Champion receiving three gold medals in '92 and two in '93.
