Answer: Blue and White

The Athletics were formed in Philadelphia in 1901. They wore blue and white throughout their tenure there, the color red occasionally being added. They continued with these colors in their first few seasons in Kansas City, until 1963, when owner Charles Finley thought the clubs waning fortunes might be inproved by a new look.

He introduced new colors of Kelly Green, Fort Knox Gold, and Wedding Gown White. After the club moved to Oakland in 1968, these colors remained, with Kelly Green being changed to a darker Forest Green in 1981.
2. The New York Yankees are famed for their pinstriped uniforms, but in which year were they first introduced?

Answer: 1912

The Yankees were in their final season as the "Highlanders" when the famous pinstripes first appeared. After reverting to plain white jerseys from 1913-14, the stripes reappeared in 1915 and have remained to this day. The Yankees were the first MLB team to introduce permanent uniform numbers in 1929.
