1. Which was the first expansion team to be in first place at some point in a season?

Answer: Los Angeles Angels

The other teams listed were not expansion teams. The Angels' franchise began in 1961 where they finished in 8th of 10 places. Their attendance record was a last place finisher in the season also. In July 1962, the Angels swept a doubleheader from the Senators, putting them in first place in the American League. They finished the season 10 games back in third place.
2. Who was the first player to hit 400 home runs and steal 400 bases?

Answer: Barry Bonds

None of the others listed hit 400 home runs in their career. Bonds of the Giants reached this plateau in 1998.
3. Who hit their 60th home run of the season off pitcher Tom Zachary?

Answer: Babe Ruth

Maris was the only other batter listed who hit 60 in a season. Zachary had just come from the St. Louis Browns to the Senators in mid-season to deliver the pitch. It took place on September 30, 1927. Ruth broke his own record of 59 that he hit in 1921.
4. When Barry Bonds won his fourth season MVP award in 2001, he broke the record set by how many players who had all won three MVPs in their career?

Answer: Luis Aparicio

Answer: Roberto Clemente

The others never played for the Pirates. Clemente was a 18-season career Pirate. He was killed after the 1972 season in a plane crash.
