1. 2002: Montreal's Brandon Phillips, Cliff Lee, and Grady Sizemore were traded for Tim Drew and what ace?

Answer: Bartolo Colon

Colon finished the season with 20 wins, but Montreal still missed the playoffs. He was then traded to the White Sox in an off-season deal.
2. 2001: The Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox completed a highly controversial pre-season deal involving which two pitchers?

Answer: David Wells and Mike Sirotka

Toronto soon discovered that Sirotka was injured and protested the deal claiming Chicago knew about the injury beforehand. The injury effectivly ended his career.
3. 2000: The Arizona Diamondbacks traded Travis Lee, Omar Daal, Vicente Padilla, and Nelson Figueroa for what veteran pitcher?

Answer: Curt Schilling

Curt Schilling became an ace for the Diamondbacks. Lee and Daal didnt work out in Philadelphia, but have found success elsewhere.
