Answer: Giuseppe Farina

Born in Turin in 1906 Giuseppe was 44 when he won the title. He died in a road accident in 1966.
2. Who won five world titles in the 1950s?

Answer: Juan Manuel Fangio

The legendary Argentine was a master of car control. Born in 1911 his last title success came at the age of 46. He died in 1995.
3. I'm Scottish and proud of the history. How many world champions did Scotland produce in the 20th century?

Answer: 2

Although there were only two Scottish world champions they shared five titles between them. Jim Clark ('63,'65) and Jackie Stewart ('69,'71,'73).
4. Who was the youngest world champion of the 20th Century?

Answer: Emerson Fittipaldi

Emerson was 25 when he won his first title (1972), and he raced on until a neck breaking accident while racing Indycars in 1996.

Answer: Alan Jones

Jones' title success was his only championship and started the Williams team on their way to numerous titles from there on.
6. Who was the first world champion to come from France?

Answer: Alain Prost

Prost won a total of four titles ('85,'86,'89,'93), behind only Fangio and Schumacher. His career also gave him 51 wins.
7. Name the legendary Brazilian who won three titles, in '88, '90 and '91?

Answer: Ayrton Senna

Senna is a legend. His car control was second to none and his ability to get the most from a bad car was amazing. He crashed tragically in 1994 at Imola.

Answer: Graham Hill and Damon Hill

Graham won the title in '62 and '68 he died in a plane crash in '75. Damon won the title in '96 with Williams.
9. Who won his first ever race in 1997 and won the title the next two years running?

Answer: Mika Hakkinen

Hakkinen won his first GP at Jerez in 1997 and went on to win the '98 and '99 titles back to back. He retired from F1 at the end of 2001 and was racing in DTM in 2005.
10. Who was the first driver to win seven world titles?

Answer: Michael Schumacher

The four drivers listed have won an amazing 19 titles between them. There have been 55 championships up to 2005.
