6. Harmon Trophy

The Harmon Trophy is a set of three trophies originally awarded annually to the world's outstanding aviator, aeronaut (balloonist/airship pilot) and aviatrix (female aviator). The trophy was established in 1926 by the wealthy balloonist and aviator, Clifford B. Harmon.
The first winners of the trophies were: Aviator - Lt. Col. Georges Pelletier d'Oisy (France), Aeronaut - General Umberto Nobile (Italy) and Aviatrix - Lady Mary Bailey (UK).
7. Brownlow Medal

The Brownlow Medal is awarded annually to the "fairest and best" player in Australian rules football, i.e. in the Australian Football League (AFL).
The medal was first presented in 1924 and is named after Charles Brownlow (1861-1924) who was a former player and then an administrator of the game from 1885-1923. After each game umpires give their votes as to the fairest and best three players and at the end of the season the player (or players) with the most votes is awarded the medal. There have been a number of players that have won this prestige medal on three occasions, however, the first player to do so was Haydn Bunton Snr (1931, 1932 and 1935) from the Fitzroy Football Club.

The Stanley Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the NHL team play-off winner. The cup is named after Lord Stanley of Preston (1841-1908) who was then the Governor General of Canada. The cup was first awarded in 1893 to the Montreal HC. Each year the winning players, management, coaches and staff are engraved on the chalice.
There are five bands that can accommodate 13 winners. The oldest bands are removed when the chalice is full and are stored in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Davis Cup is an international team event in men's tennis. The competition began in 1900 between Great Britain and the USA. The cup is named after Dwight F. Davis (1879-1945) who was an American tennis player and politician. He was the Secretary of War from 1925-1929.
He was runner-up in the men's singles of the US Open (1898 and 1899) and runner-up in the men's singles at Wimbledon in 1901. He won the Men's Doubles at the US Open on three occasions. In 1981 the format of the competition was changed to a league system, which allowed the 16 nations in the top "world group" to compete for the cup each year.
In the first 100 years of the Davis Cup (1900-1999) the United States won the cup 31 times and Australia 27. Great Britain were third with 9 wins.
