The West Indian test player, Dwayne Bravo, took a total of 26 wickets for his side, the Chennai Super Kings. Bravo became the only player to win the Purple Cap for a second time, having previously won it in the 2013 season.

Answer: Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad finished sixth in the League and therefore did not qualify. Interestingly, Sunrisers Hyderabad had finished sixth in IPL 2014 as well. Mumbai Indians were the fourth team to reach the 2015 playoffs along with Rajasthan, Chennai and Bangalore.
