Answer: Pedro Ramos

Ramos dished up 43 dingers with the Senators that year establishing the new American League record. He dished up another 38 the following year. In his 15 seasons in the majors he compiled a record of 117-160 retiring in 1970.
2. Which of the following players have NOT won 4 batting titles?

Answer: Tony Oliva

All listed except Oliva have won 4. The last to do it in the list was Bill Madlock in 1983. Tony Gwynn won his 8th in 1997.
3. How many minor league home runs did Babe Ruth hit?

Answer: 1

He only hit one in 1914. Due to money problems the team was having, the Babe was auctioned off. Connie Mack of the Athletics who had first crack at Ruth actually passed on him. He was then shopped to Boston owner Joe Lannin.
4. What pitcher won 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards?

Answer: Jim Kaat

Kaat won 16 in a row with 3 teams from 1962-1977 with Minnesota, the White Sox, and Philadelphia. He retired in 1983 after 25 seasons.
5. Whose record did Mike Marshall break in 1974 when he appeared in 106 games in the season?

Answer: Mike Marshall

Marshall broke his own mark from the previous year. During that season he appeared in 92 games. Both record breaking years were with the Dodgers. In 1973 he broke the record of 90 appearences set by Wayne Granger.

Spahn was the first in 1957 to win it as a southpaw. This former Brave played for 21 seasons and retired in 1965.

No American Leaguer has done it. Only two National League catchers have done this with Bubbles Hargrave with Cincinnati in 1926, and Lombardi who popped for two in 1938 and 1942.

Answer: Barry Bonds

Bonds did it in 1998 with while the Giants. He hit 37 big ones that year. The rest is history.
10. What 20th Century rookie pitcher was the only one to win the Cy Young Award?

Answer: Fernando Valenzuela

Valenzuela had a tremendous year in 1981 by winning the Cy Award and the Rookie of the Year Award. He played a limited role in 1980 and 1981 was officially his first year with the Dodgers.
