1. 1992: Which team did United beat in the League Cup final?

Answer: Nottingham Forest

United beat Forest 1-0 with the only goal of the game coming from Brian McClair in the 14th minute. This was United's first victory in the competition since its inauguration in 1961.
2. 1993: This year saw United win the newly formed FA Premiership. Which player won his second successive league championship medal in as many years?

Answer: Eric Cantona

Cantona was signed from Leeds United in November 1992, and was instrumental in helping United win the title after 26 long years, to make it eight championships for the club. Between 1992 and 1997, Cantona played 192 games for United and scored 82 goals.
3. 1994: United did the Double for the first time in their history, by winning the League Championship and the FA Cup. Who did they beat in the FA Cup final?

Answer: Chelsea

United won the title by eight points over second places Blackburn Rovers and earned United their 9th title in all. The FA Cup final game against Chelsea gave United a 4-0 win with Eric Cantona scoring two goals, both being penalties. Mark Hughes and Brian McClair got the other two giving United their 8th FA Cup.

The club missed out on a domestic treble however, when Aston Villa beat them in the League Cup final 3-1.
4. 1995: Which team beat United 3-0 in a League Cup tie?

Answer: York City

A second string of United players were embarrassed by then second division York City on 20th September, 1995.
5. 1996: Did United win both the FA Carling Premiership and the FA Cup this year?

Answer: Yes

United won their second Double in three years and won the Premiership title by four points from Newcastle United, earning the reds their 10th championship in all. They also beat Liverpool in the FA Cup final with a single Eric Cantona goal, winning their 9th FA Cup.

Answer: Yes

United won their 11th league title by seven points over second placed Newcastle United.
7. 1998: Which of these did NOT sign for the club this year?

Answer: Teddy Sheringham

Sheringham was signed from Tottenham Hotspur in June 1997, and stayed until May 2001, where he moved back to Spurs on a free transfer. Sheringham will be remembered by United fans for scoring in the 1999 FA Cup and European Cup finals.
8. 1999: At what stadium did United lift the European Cup?

Answer: Nou Camp, Barcelona, Spain

The game took place on 26th May, 1999. Mario Basler opened the scoring for Bayern Munich and the United fans had to wait until injury time before Teddy Sheringham equalized, followed by the winning goal from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This completed the first Treble in English football, after United had won the Premier League for the 12th time, the FA Cup for the 10th time, and the European Cup for the second time.
9. 2000: United won the league for the second year running, but how many games did they lose at home?

Answer: 0

United only lost three games all season in the league, and all were played away from Old Trafford, and all pretty heavy defeats. 5-0 at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, 3-1 at White Hart Lane versus Tottenham Hotspur and at St. James Park, Newcastle United won 3-0. This was United's 13th league title in history.
10. 2001: Sir Alex Ferguson became the first manager to do what this year?

Answer: Win three league titles in a row
