Answer: Goodyear

Goodyear had been the main supplier for a couple of years on the NASCAR "big three" circuits. Hoosier dropped out in the mid-1990s. Michelin and Bridgestone used to supply tires to Formula 1 but, from 2007, the primary tire maker was Bridgestone.
2. What cellular service provider sponsors NASCAR's top series in 2006?

Answer: Nextel

Nextel took over when the cigarette company R.J. Reynolds pulled out.
3. What track does NASCAR legend/broadcaster Darrell Waltrip call a "roval", a track that looks like an oval, but drives like a road course?

Answer: Pocono

He calls Pocono a "roval". Infineon expresses no characteristics of an oval-track.
4. Which NASCAR great drove the #2 Miller Lite Dodge just prior to Kurt Busch?

Answer: Rusty Wallace

Wallace drove the #2 car when it was the Miller Genuine Draught Ford as well. Earnhardt Sr. drove the legendary #3 GM Goodwrench Service Plus Chevrolet for most of his career. Gant was, probably most notably known for his drive in the #33 Skoal Bandit in the 1980s. Darrell Waltrip drove the #17 (Tide/Western Auto) car for quite a while too.
5. The Craftsman Truck Series usually run on what nights?

Answer: Friday

They usually race on Fridays, with a couple exeptions. They sometimes race on Saturdays if there is no planned Busch Series event for that week. At one race in Bristol, they race on Wednesday night. They race on Thursdays if both the Busch and Nextel Cup series' have night races planned that week, given all 3 are at the same track.
6. Which of these corporations was *never* the primary sponsor of the #6 car?

Answer: Pepsi

In California, AAA is called the Auto Club of Southern California. Mark Martin drove the #6 Valvoline and Viagra machines to victory many times.

8. What do they call the person that tells the driver if another car is beside them?

Answer: Spotter

The car's spotter/s, depending on how big the track is, stand on top of a high platform to get a good view of the track. He tells the driver when someone is about to pass them, when he can switch lines, etc. Since the drivers only have one mirror on the car (rear view), the spotter plays a crucial role in the race.
9. How many points were awarded for winning a Cup series race in 2007?

Answer: 185

185 points are awarded to the winning driver and car owner. When you factor in the 5 points for leading the final lap, it is 185, but for just winning the race they award 180. If you win and lead the most laps, you would then get 195 points. This points system was put in place this past year.
10. NASCAR stands for National Association of Stock ___________.

Answer: Car Automotive Racing

Although popular Southern comedian Jeff Foxworthy seems to think it stands for "National Association for Stupid, Careless Rednecks, that is wrong.
