1. How does the game begin?

Answer: The umpire blows a whistle

After the umpire blows their whistle, the centre will pass the ball.
2. What happens after a team has received a goal?

Answer: The ball is taken back to the centre

The umpire will hand the ball to the opposite team if the ball is shot, missed and goes off court without being touched, and the player will have a free pass.
3. What position would I be playing if I was in the goal shooting area with my arms up, defending a shooter?

Answer: Goal defence or goal keeper

The goal defence plays against the goal attack, and the goal keeper plays against the goal shooter.
4. Centre is in the goal circle, passing the ball to goal attack. What is wrong with this situation?

Answer: Centre is offside

The centre position is unable to go into the goal circle.
5. How many players are on the court at any time from the one team?

Answer: 7

The 7 positions are; goal attack, goal shooter, goal defence, goal keeper, wing defence, wing attack, and centre.

Answer: Centre

The centre position starts with the ball, and blowing the whistle is the signal to start playing. Note: Front defender is not a position in netball.

Answer: 2 per team

At this level, 2 boys may play. As you go into the older divisions, you may be able to have more.
