Answer: Penske Racing

Roger Penske is well known as a car owner. He has many successful Indy cars and also has several successful wins in Nascar. In 2006, Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman drove for Penske. Kurt came out with a win in the spring Bristol race under a controversial finish. Ryan Newman has been successful in the past with many wins, but his 2006 season fell short of being in the chase.

Jack Roush was widely known in the Nascar community as "the cat in the hat" because you rarely ever saw him without some sort of hat on. He was a very successful car owner; owning several Cup cars, Busch cars, and Craftsman trucks. He won the championship in 2004 with Kurt Busch driving the #97 Sharpie Ford.

The #97 was changed to the #26 car and was driven by Jamie McMurray. Roush owned the #16 Subway Ford, #17 DeWalt Ford, #6 AAA Ford, and the #26 Crown Royal Ford. Except for McMurray, all of the other cars have had several wins.

Answer: Evernham Motorsports

Evernham owned three Dodges driven by Kasey Kahne, Jeremy Mayfield, and Scott Riggs. Before the summer Michigan race, Mayfield was let go and Elliott Sadler took his place. Sadler has also contracted to drive for Evernham in 2007. Evernham was instrumental in getting the Dodges back into racing in 2001 with the Dodge Intrepid R/T body.

Answer: Richard Childress Racing

Richard Childress had a better season in 2006 with drivers Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick both making the chase. Burton, after his win at Dover in the fall, looked to be the "dark horse" of the championship. He led about half of the chase for the cup before several DNF's took im out of contention. Childress also owned one other car and that was the #07 Jack Daniels car driven by Clint Bowyer.

Answer: Joe Gibbs Racing

Joe Gibbs was known for bringing great teams to championships. He owned the #18, #20, and #11 cars. After he released Bobby Labonte in the #18 car, he replaced Labonte with J.J. Yealey. Although Yealey never won a race in 2006, he showed he could compete in the Cup series. Gibbs also signed another rookie by the name of Denny Hamlin. Hamlin won two races at Pocono, and won the Bud Shootout in 2006.

Mark Martin was actually co-owner of this car. In Nascar, a car owner is only allowed to have three cars in his stables. When Martin was a part owner, Roush was allowed to have four in his fleet.

Answer: Wood Brothers

Wood Brothers have been in Nascar since the '60s and '70s. They have had such drivers as Cale Yarborough and Morgan Shepherd. In 2005, Ricky Rudd drove for them and then retired after the season was out. In 2006, Ken Schrader took over the controls and the Little Debbie's sponsored car.

Answer: Cal Wells Racng

Cal Wells has owned this one-car team since Ricky Rudd quit owning his own team and went to Wood Brothers. The car in the beginning was a Pontiac, but then changed to a Chevrolet when Pontiac removed itself from racing. The #32 was the combination of the various car numbers that have been on this Tide ride.

When Darrell Waltrip drove for Tide, it was #17. When Rudd had it, it was #10, and it was also #5 for a while.

In 2006, MB2 Motorsports owned Joe Nemechek's #01 U.S. Army Chevrolet. Nemechek took over this ride in 2002 after Jerry Nadeau was seriously hurt in a practice crash at Richmond. Nemechek has had several wins with this car since, one of them coming in a rain-shortened Richmond race in 2004.

Answer: Robert Yates Racing

Robert Yates owned two Fords. One was driven by Dale Jarrett and the other was driven by Elliott Sadler. However, with the departure of Jeremy Mayfield from Evernham Racing, Sadler ended his contract with Yates and moved over to the #19 UAW/Dodge Dealers Dodge. Yates then replaced Sadler with David Gilliland. Gilliland took over the reins of the #38 M&M's ride and wil return in that ride in 2007.
