Souchak set the record with a total of 257 in the 1955 Texas open.
3. Which man won his 82nd and final PGA Tour event at the 1965 Greensboro Open?

Answer: Sam Snead

Snead won a remarkable 82 times on tour. Jack Nicklaus has won 72.
4. In 1999 and 2000 Tiger Woods won a total of 17 events on Tour. His two year total was one LESS than which man's single season number of wins, back in 1945?

Answer: Byron Nelson

Nelson won an incredible 18 times in 1945. That included 11 straight.
5. Which of these golfers finished in the top ten money winners an amazing 18 seasons on the PGA Tour?

Answer: Jack Nicklaus

Nicklaus was among the top ten money winners in 18 different seasons.
6. Who was the first man in PGA Tour history to shoot a nine under par score for nine holes?

Answer: Billy Mayfair

Mayfair shot a nine under par 27 during the 2001 Buick Open. Souchak and North have also shot 27 for 9 holes, but Souchak's was eight under par, and North's was seven under par.
7. More than a dozen different men have shot rounds of 60 or better on the PGA Tour. Who was the first man to do it?

Answer: Al Brosch

Brosch shot an eleven under par 60 in the third round of the 1951 Texas Open.
8. Which of these men have never shot eight consecutive birdies during a single round on the PGA Tour?

Answer: Al Geiberger

Arnette, Zoeller and Goalby have all made eight straight birdies. Geiberger's best streak was seven straight hole under par (which included 6 birdies and an eagle).
9. Who was the first man to win the PGA Tour Player of the Year award five times?

Answer: Tom Watson

Watson won the award in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1982. Nicklaus won four times, and would certainly have won six, except for a rule (since removed) that a player had to be active on the tour for five years before being eligible (making Nicklaus ineligable in 1963 and 1965, when he would surely have won both).
10. Who was the first man to make the 36 hole cut in more than 100 consecutive tournaments?

Answer: Byron Nelson

Nelson made 113 consecutive cuts at one point. Jack Nicklaus was the second man to do it, and Tiger Woods the third. It is really the most impressive of all the records on the PGA Tour, since it displays such week-in and week-out consistency.
