For the Univ. of Texas, Darrell Royal one was one of college football's greatest coaches. The legendary Bear Bryant once remarked "He's one of the best I've EVER seen".

Billy Cannon won the Heisman Trophy in 1959 and went on to be an All-Pro running back for the Houston Oilers and later All-Pro Tight-end for the Oakland Raiders. He's now an Orthodontist living in Baton Rouge, LA.
