Van Buren ran for 205 yards against Pittsburgh on November 11, 1949. Staley came close to the record on September 9, 2000, when he ran for 201 yards against Dallas. Van Buren may not have been the greatest Eagle ever, but he is among their 2 or 3 best players of all-time.

He led the league in rushing 4 times and had a distinctive head-down running style that set the standard for all power runners who followed.

Answer: Donovan McNabb

McNabb's big day was against the Green Bay Packers on December 12, 2004. The Eagles won 47-17 at Lincoln Financial Field. Randall Cunningham set the previous mark at 447 yards in a win against the Redskins in 1989.

His career average of 17.2 yards per catch shows he was a deep threat that defenses had to respect.
