Answer: Pete Rose

After winning the 1963 Rookie of the Year Award, Rose would win the MVP over Pirate Willie Stargell and Bobby Bonds. He would also take a World Series MVP in 1975 with the Reds. Nicknamed "Charlie Hustle", he retired on top of all baseball players with 4256 career hits, with 746 of those being doubles which put him number two behind Tris Speaker when he left baseball in 1986.

Foxx reached the 500-marker in 1941 with the Red Sox. He won three AL MVPs, two with the Philadelphia Athletics and one with the Red Sox. Although wearing five different numbers in his career, he won all three MVPs with the jersey number 3 on his uniform.

After finishing sixth for the rookie award in 1982, Ryne took the MVP two seasons later. He won it in a landslide over Keith Hernandez and Tony Gwynn. The second baseman went on to have a Hall of Fame career, and was inducted in 2005.

After playing with the Astros for nine seasons, Joe was traded to the Reds in 1972. He won his MVP awards in 1975 and 1976, and won the World Series in both those seasons. Morgan retired in 1984, then went into broadcasting.

One of the M&M boys with Mickey Mantle and Maris, Roger battled Mantle not only for the MVP Award, but the home run crowns also. Roger broke the season home run record of Babe Ruth in 1961 to win the MVP, after winning it in 1960 also. Mantle was runner-up in both seasons, then won it for himself in 1962.

Bonds won his MVP awards in 1990 and 1992 with the Pirates. After the 1992 season, Barry signed with the Giants as a free agent. With the number 24 of the Giants being retired in honor of Mays, Barry took the number 25. He would win five MVP awards with the Giants. Bonds retired with 762 home runs.

Both their MVPs came in 1963. While Koufax took the MVP, Cy Young, World Series MVP, and threw a Triple Crown, Howard of the Yankees was happy to win his sole award over Al Kaline and teammate Whitey Ford. Elston went to 10 World Series with the Yankees, winning four. Howard retired with the Red Sox in 1968.

Giambi was in his sixth season with Oakland when he won the award in 2000 over Frank Thomas and Alex Rodriguez. He was runner-up in 2001 to Ichiro Suzuki. In 2002, he was a free agent with the Yankees, then Jason found himself in 2011 as a Rockie first baseman.

Joe's rookie season with the Twins was in 2004. To the surprise of everyone except Twins fans, he became the first catcher in history to win three batting titles in 2006, 2008, and 2009. His MVP Award came in 2009 in a landslide over the Yankees' Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter. His jersey number 7 was almost an overnight success.

It is somewhat amazing that someone could hit 755 home runs, but never 50 in a season. This showed the tremendous consistency of the great Brave, Hank Aaron. He led the league in 1957 with home runs, runs scored, and RBIs to help the Braves to their first World Series title in Milwaukee, and first for the franchise since the 1914 Boston Braves.
