1. Who won the 1992 National title?

Answer: Kim Zmeskal

It was Kim's third consecutive win. Shannon was actually in first place after the compulsories, but she pulled out because she had recently had surgery on her elbow. In the end, Kim won.
2. Who won the 1994 US National title?

Answer: Dominique Dawes

Dominique actually won all of the gold medals available at the competition.
3. Who won the 1998 title?

Answer: Kristen Maloney

This was the first of two titles that Kristen won. Vanessa had tied with Kristy Powell the year before, but she had started having trouble on bars and she fell in this competition.
4. Who won the 2005 National title?

Answer: Nastia Liukin

It was Nastia's first year as a senior and there was a lot of pressure on her to do well. Carly didn't compete. Chellsie won the silver and Jana the bronze.

It was really exciting to have two women at such a high level going into the Olympics in Athens.

Courtney also made the US World Championship team that year. While at that competition, she tore her achilles tendon. Miraculously, she came back from that injury to tie with Carly Patterson for the title in 2004.

Brandy had been a part of the 1988 Olympic team that just missed winning a bronze medal.
10. Who won in 1993?

Answer: Shannon Miller

Shannon had won the silver in the all-around the year before, but she finally won a National title in 1993. She was the National Champion again in 1996.
